It comes for us all eventually. Unfortunately it got me after only 9 months. Since so many of the early units were experiencing hardware failures Microsoft extended the warranty to 3 years. It will get shipped out tomorrow but I doubt I'll have it back before Rockband hits the stores. Dammit

Aww...... that's too bad!! Well, you'll have it soon right?

They say four weeks but I'm not hopeful. I think I'm actually going to pay to have it shipped something faster than standard.

Damn!! I have had mine for about 7 months and i hope the ring will stay away!

GH III is already available here in the US. They have a cool TV commercial for it where on of the kids playing it morphs into Slash.

You lucky Americans! Street date for Guitar Hero III here in Sweden (And the rest of EU) is November 23.

And Rock Band some time in march 2008.

We get Rockband on Nov 20th. I don't think my 360 will be back from service by then though, so I will have to hold off.

Don't know if you are into shooters, but Call of Duty 4 looks fabulous. I played the multiplayer beta and it was lots of fun.

Have the 360 back from service, but Rock Band is nowhere to be found. Picked up GH III and COD 4 to tide me over.

COD 4 seems like an awsome game too... Shooters are great fun.

I am also very curious about Assassins Creed!

I almost bought AC, but I waited. I have 3-4 games that I've barely played that I want to work through.

Hehe.. Life is hard when your 360 is away and all great games piles up at the desk! ;)

I know. At last count I need to finish Crackdown, Halo 3 and GHII. I just got GHIII and COD4. I have GRAW II and have never even played it once. And I work at a start up company and have little if any free time to spend playing games!

So many great games.. so little time!!

I work for a startup called Zintro. Our currently crappy web site is at http://www.zintro.net. Once we get venture funding we'll buy the .com site and have the interface done professionally.

So my wife was at Best Buy (an electronics retailer) and calls me and says "weren't you looking for Rock Band? They have it here for Xbox 360."

So I have it. Unfortunately it looks like by guitar was from the crappy batch and it stopped strumming after about three songs. EA makes replacement easy though, and the GHII guitar works just fine.

The red ring of death... this is what happens to me when I turn on the Xbox 360.

I'm sorry to say that it's time to send it to service. Go to xbox.com and register (you use your xbox live tag and the email you created that with)

It took me about a month to get mine back, including the week or so it takes for you to receive the package to send it to them in.
