Reesie and I were chatting about Rock Band yesterday and the old teenage metal-head in me started talking about how great it would if they started making more old songs available. I specifically mentioned Iron Maiden's The Number of the Beast as a song that would be fun in that game.

Rock Band rules for availability of old metal songs. They're also going to enter into deals with bands to release new singles exclusively through the game.
I'd love to buy it, but know that it would just sit there and never get played.
I just got the Metallica song pack as well. Ride The Lightning, Blackened and And Justice For All.
A funny side benefit of doing the vocals on the game is that I learn that I really didn't know the lyrics to as many songs as I thought.
It's also a great way for the bands to make money, especially if they negotiate some percentage of the downloadable content sales.
